The newer film is being directed by Morgan Matthews and written by Danny Brocklehurst. It is being produced by Jemma Rodgers under the production company Studio Canal. Any other news apart from this is not confirmed.

Additionally, not much of any information is out yet, and plot details for the upcoming movie is a far outcry given how there is no new update till now. However, The first look picture has 7 extremely happy children playing out in the greenery on a sunny day. It also shows the children in a completely old sense of fashion and signals that they are living in the countryside. Although it seems highly exciting, fans are waiting for it desperately. The sequel to the popular 1970 movie is all set to premiere on July 15, 2022, in the United Kingdom. A separate worldwide release date will be provided very soon including the United States as well.
