South Koren actors Park Jin-joo and Lee Yi-kyung are reportedly joining the upcoming popular MBC’s variety show “Hangout With Yoo”.
The show verified the announcement on September 1, 2022, appealing to spectators to “anticipate what kind of synergy the new members would create with other members.”
With Park and Lee now joining the show alongside seven hosts comprising TV personalities Yoo Jae-suk, Jeong Jun-ha, Shin Bong-seon, and Lee Mi-joo.
The production crew of ‘Hangout With Yoo’ in a statement on August 31 KST said: “Park Jin Joo and Lee Yi Kyung has been confirmed to join [our show] as new members. Please look forward to how they will be interacting with the existing members, and send your support.” The two actors Park Jin Joo and Lee Yi Kyung have oftentimes seen appearing on variety shows, attracting a lot of chuckles with their amusing personalities. In addition to their outstanding acting talents, Park and Lee put up anticipation for their distinctive characteristics and humorous sense by joining ‘Hangout With Yoo’.
Park Jin Joo remarked, “I’m really grateful, and at the same time, I will be joining a spot with a lot of pressure. I will do my best in my place so that I can provide fun, happiness, and laughter to the viewers in various ways and not just acting.”
Lee Yi Kyung also added: My main job is an actor, but I will be a member who can turn into a comedian. I will harmonize with the current members of ‘How Do You Play?’ and do my best to make everyone laugh heartily.”
“Hangout With Yoo” went on three-week leave and declared openly the continuation of the broadcast on September 3, 2022. This popular variety show has gained plenty of love and support for having Yoo Jae Seok on the show. The show’s popularity even rose higher by launching songs such as catchy summer songs and ballads while enabling viewers’ recollections such as MSG Wannabe and SSAK3.
Nonetheless, as the craze of secondary characters lagged, and PD Kim Tae Ho quit MBC, the show’s viewership fell somewhat. Yoo Jae Seoa, in one of his interviews said, “I’m also feeling pressured to lead “Hangout With Yoo” alone. There were also concerns about the program’s future move.”
“Hangout With Yoo” is scheduled to premiere on Saturday September 3, 2022, at 6:25 p.m KST. The show revolves around funny man Yoo and the things he does in his free time. Viewers will also get to see Jeong, Shin, and Lee, and newcomers Park and Lee.
