P-Valley is an American drama TV series conceived by Katori Hall, who also serves as an executive producer along with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Dante Di Loreto, and Patrik-Ian Polk. The series is based on a play by Katori Hall titled “Pussy Valley,” and revolves around various people working at a strip club in the Mississippi Delta, Chucalissa. It features Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton, Elarica Johnson, Skyler Joy, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Parker Sawyers, Harriett D. For, Dan J. Johnson, Tyler Lepley, and Isaiah Washington.
The series debuted on July 12, 2020, on the Starz network and much to the delight of fans P-Valley was greenlit for a second instalment just two weeks after its release.
Each sequence of the series was helmed by a woman and the stories were inspired by the show’s creator Katori real-life events.
“I actually grew up going to strip clubs, so it was just a part of Southern culture, Southern Black culture. It was something that we didn’t necessarily look at in a shameful way,” she revealed to The Playlist. “Oftentimes this world is misunderstood. These women are misrepresented, they’re not respected. And I really wanted to put some respect on their name because I knew that what they were doing was art. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.”
P-Valley has earned notable recognition and earned several nominations such as the TCA Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, NAACP Image Awards and Independent Spirit Awards.
Release date of P-Valley season 2: When is it?
As of now, the release date of P-Valley season 2 is not provided. Starz is yet to announce an exact air date but we’ll update this section as soon as we get any information.
As per Celebrity Myxer, newcomer Rolando Boyle, the latest addition to the cast, disclosed that the team has begun shooting the next season in Atlanta in the summer of 2021. It was then reported that production is declared to be finishing at the end of 2021. If things went smoothly as planned without any hindrance, the second season of P-Vally would arrive by early or mid-2022 at the earliest.

P-Valley season 2 plot: What to expect?
Plot details are scarce but the story will likely pick up from where the first season left off. Autumn Night the newly appointed Pynk owner after winning in an auction in the club which technically makes her a boss of Uncle Clifford and this is going to cause quite a stir.
Hall in recent interviews explained: “The power dynamics at the club have completely changed and to see Uncle Clifford and Hailey fight over the throne will be stuff of legends.”
She also specifically mentioned Mercedes in one of her interviews—
“The Mercedes that we’ve grown to know and love in season one, we root for her even more in season two. Even when she gets broken down, there’s always this attempt to rise again, and I think that’s the thing that we’re going to continue seeing in Mercedes and continue being inspired by.”
Last but not the least, the second season unravels the cliffhanger in the previous season and what happened in the Paradise Room.
