Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television, gave an explanation as to why the show wouldn’t last beyond a four-season arc: High school isn’t, in fact, forever. “Four seasons of Never Have I Ever is truly exciting and a little bittersweet because, as a loyal fan, I’d love Devi’s journey to go on forever,” she said in a statement.

No, Never Have I ever season 4 will not be happening! Never Have I Ever creator Mindy Kaling recently opened up about her decision to end the Netflix series. “Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
“They can’t be in high school forever. We’ve seen those shows. Like, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here? Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old,” she added.
She also discussed the importance of releasing a series like Never Have I Ever on Netflix. “The great thing about doing it on Netflix is that we got to tell stories that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell in traditional network shows, and so we feel good,” she continued. “We really told the story of this 15-year-old girl, and that felt like the perfect amount of time.”
Never Have I Ever season 4: Is there a release date for Never Have I Ever season 4?

Because season 3 hasn’t officially come out yet, we don’t know where that leaves the Sherman Oaks squad before season 4. The third season will most likely explore Devi’s romance with Paxton, as well as Ben and Aneesa’s budding relationship (although he may still have feelings for Devi).
