The series Mo is based on Amer’s own life. He lives as a Palestinian refugee living in Houston, Texas. The official synopsis of the episode states, “The final day of the detox. As Manon enlists the family’s help to tackle a career setback head-on, Léa finds herself at an ill-timed crossroads.” So far there’s only one season of the series.

Will there be a season 2 of Mo?
As of December 2022, the makers are yet to officially renew Mo for season 2. That’s right, Mo season 2 hasn’t received the greenlight yet. We know that the first season ended with the finale episode, “Vamos”. It was released on August 24, 2022, along with the rest of the episodes.
When asked about season 2 at the Red Sea Film Festival, Mo Amer affirmed that the show’s future is still uncertain, quoting, “Ask Netflix, I don’t know what’s going on. We’ve only won awards and we’re in the top 10 lists. I don’t know what’s going on.” Hence, before deciding to renew the show for more seasons, Netflix may assess how well it is performing and being received.
However, going by the ratings and reviews of the debut season, we expect season 2 to receive the renewal. But let’s await more updates from the makers. Until then, stay connected with us!
Mo season 2 release date: When’s it scheduled to premiere?
As aforesaid, the series has not been formally verified by Netflix. Hence, there’s no official release date for season 2 of Mo. However, we speculate the series to air by mid-2023 or later. Considering the previous season’s release schedule, the most probable time frame will be sometime in the fall of 2023, with August being the most likely month.
