Maia Mitchell, Rish Shah, and Ron Living have all been cast in the feature “Sitting in Bars with Cake” directed by Trish Sie.
The cast of the upcoming Amazon Studios romance comedy feature “Sitting in Bars with Cake” is extended by twelve with the newly added Bette Midler (”Hocus Pocus”), Ron Livingston (”The Flash”), Maia Mitchell (”Good Trouble”), Aaron Dominguez (”Only Murders In The Building”), Rish Shah (”Ms. Marvel”), and Odessa A’zion (”Hellraiser”).
Wrapping up the group, ruled by earlier announced star are Yara Shahidi (”Salt,” “Black-ish,” “Grown-ish”), Martha Kelly (”Euphoria”), Adina Porter (”American Horror Story: Cult”), Navid Negahban (”The Old Man”), Simone Recasner (”The Big Leap”), Will Ropp (”The Fallout”), and Charlie Morgan Patton (”Jesus Revolution”).
Character details for each of the cast members are not revealed for now. So it’s hard to figure out how the characters will play it out.
It was also reported that “Sitting in Bars with Cake” will commence production in October of this year in Los Angeles. Hence, the release date is yet to be determined but we predict that the rom-com will be out sometime in mid to late 2023 at the earliest.
“Sitting in Bars with Cake,” is being adapted from a real tale, the comedy feature revolves around a silent young lady who is luckless when it comes to love and finds out a dubious guy magnet when she decides to bake a cake for her best pal’s birthday and carries it to a bar, only to be crowded by men. She thinks it’s just a mere coincidence, but her pal persuades her to devote herself to one whole year of baking cakes and bringing them to pubs, to help her find true love. The timid young lady’s life thereafter opens up in many ways she could not have ever imagined.
Trish Sie is helming the movie from a screenplay by Audrey Shulman’s from her blog and novel of the exact title. Serving as producer for the feature “Sitting in Bars with Cake” are wResonate Entertainment’s Susan Cartsonis, Brent Emery, and Suzanne Farwell, and is being executive produced by All Night Diner’s Nick Moceri. Shahidi and Teri Simpson, while Clément Bauer serves as co-producer.
“Sitting in Bars with Cake” which is an Amazon Original Movie will be available for streaming on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories globally at discharge.
