‘Love is Blind’ is a particular show that is intriguing and immensely draws your attention and you can’t help but keep thinking or talking about it among your peers who watch the same show as you do. But first what do we know about this show?
Love is Blind is a reality-based dating TV series generated by Kinetic Content and conceived by Chris Coelen and its executive producers Sam Dean, Ally Simpson, Eric Detwiler, Terrance Villarreal, and Coelen. The show is presented by Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey. It was originally aired on Netflix on February 13, 2020. The series has a total of 10 episodes.
The show follows a group of individuals, sets them up in pairs and they eventually date without even seeing one another. The only way to keep their love going is by communicating through their personal pods. Another twist is, they do not have any access to electronic gadgets or any other external interruptions.
As series creator Chirs Coelen explained via Deadline, “When you have a conversation with someone, we tend to be distracted, checking our devices, if you’re on a dating app, you have so many choices that you’re constantly going to the next one, or you become focused on very superficial things, or people discount you for very superficial things.”
He resumed: “We all feel sort of disposable. This show set out to address those things.”
If they feel like they need to take their connection further, the participants can propose, if the other individual accepts, they get to meet each other who they have been speaking to on the line.
The couple leaves on a trip together, and spend time living in the same house before they finally wed each other.
Some people accept and make their relationship official, whereas others walk away in different directions.
Sounds very intriguing right? Will the show be back for a second season run though? Let’s find out below!
Has the second season of Love is Blind been confirmed?
A big YES! Netflix announced that season 2 of Love is Blind is officially happening.
Another great news is, the third season has been confirmed as well.
Series host Vanessa Lachey revealed to Hollywood life recently that filming for the second and third seasons has commenced.
Coelen confessed that he did not see it coming the fact that the first season would be very successful.
“I believed enough in the universality of the idea, and I felt strongly that connecting people in this way was a good enough idea, an interesting enough idea, a radical enough idea, that I felt like people would develop real, emotional connection,” he stated back in February 2020. “But I truly had no idea that it was going to be as successful as it was.”
Love Is Blind season 2 release date: When will it premiere?
Currently, the exact release date has not been yet announced but Vanessa Lachey via ET told that the second season is coming out in early 2022.
She said: “It is juicy and it comes out February of 2022,” although she didn’t mention the specific air date, she dropped another major detail about the third season. “So we shot season two, and I don’t know, am I allowed to say? We shot season three already,” she added.
