Sony Music Entertainment has officially announced its partnership with the famous Argentine footballer Lionel Messi.
It has been revealed that Lionel Messi Management SL will develop an animated series inspired by the football superstar. The series will mainly focus on kids and youngsters while the corporation also plans to include authentic melody from its artists and songwriters. The upcoming animated show is going to be an interesting and stimulating description of the Argentine soccer player’s life, mirroring his legacy and his great contribution to the soccer world.
“Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved animated series and my kids are big fans of animated characters,” the Messi noted in a statement. “Being able to participate in an animation project makes me happy, because it fulfills one of my dreams! I would like to thank Sony Music for joining this project and we hope that everyone will like the result, especially the girls and the boys.”
The Animated Series Will be Available in Multiple Languages
It has been reported that the much anticipated upcoming animated series portraying the life of the famous footballer Messi will be produced in multiple languages such as English, Spanish, etc. As of now, the series has not been affixed to any network or streaming platforms as the series is still in progress.

Vastly acknowledged by many as the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi is by far one of the most successful and lauded players in the world of soccer. The striker who currently plays for Paris Saint Germain has won a total of seven Ballon d’Or, a seven-time winner of FIFA Best Player, a six-time winner of Golden Boots, a four-time winner of the Champions League, a ten-time winner of La Liga titles, and various other honors including both individual and for the teams.
When is it Releasing?
As of now, no release date has been mentioned for Lionel Messi’s animated series but it is expected to take at least a year or two to make its way to our screens. Nevertheless, the soonest we can expect the animated series to arrive is probably somewhere in 2024 or by 2025 at the most.
Aside from this, there is no concrete information as the series is still in the early stages of development but as we have mentioned before, the series will follow the life of Lionel Messi through his journey as a soccer player. So soccer fans can expect to see some of the biggest moments of Messi and how he became one of the great footballers of all time.
