It’s official! Lifetime is making another movie based on Ann Rule’s 1993 true-crime novel titled “A Rose For Her Grave.” The upcoming thriller film stars Chrishell Stause (”Young And The Restless,” “Days of Our Lives”), Colin Egglesfield (”Something Borrowed,” “The Client List”), and Laura Ramsey (”White Collar,” “Hindsight”).
The film will once again unite Egglesfield and Stause for the first time after appearing together in “All My Children” between 2005 and 2009. Although she hung around until 2011, while Egglesfield moved on to “Melrose Place.”
Stause conveyed the information of her new role via her Instagram. Conveying Lifetime’s announcement of the upcoming thriller, she jotted down:
“I’m so excited to announce that I’m currently filming a @lifetimetv upcoming movie, inspired by the best-selling true crime novel written by Ann Rule, A Rose for Her Grave! You will get to see me in a way you definitely haven’t before ♥ Let’s dooooo this!”
Egglesfield on being cast in the movie also shared a similar post on his Instagram, stating:

What is the film about?
The anticipated thriller flick revolves around the real-life crimes of ill-famed serial wife-killer Randy Roth — and the unfazed lady who ultimately fetched him to justice.
“Following the demise of her husband, widowed mother Cindy (played by Ramsey), finally finds love again with mechanic Randy Roth (played by Egglesfield) but her marital happiness soon turns dark when she finds out another side of Randy,” as per the description of the movie states. “Despite the beggings of her best friend Lori (Stause) to leave her marriage, Cindy never gets that chance after she drowns during a trip to a lake with Randy and the kids. Emotionless following Cindy’s end, Randy orders her immediate cremation, takes custody of Cindy’s kids, and tries to collect on her life insurance policy.”
However, Lori (played by Chrishell Stause) is “determined to honor Cindy and find the truth” encircling her hasty death.
“Lori uncovers more of Randy’s past,” the summary resumes, “discovering that Cindy may not have been the first wife murdered at his hands.”
Maritte Lee Go is directing the movie and a script and executive produced by Conor Allyn and Benjamin Anderson. Serving as producers are The Tinnell brothers Robert and Jeffrey.
When is it Releasing?
“A Rose For Her Grave” is scheduled to be released in 2023. Shooting for the film commenced on the third week of September 2022.
