Action-Comedy films or series have always been a huge hit. People love to feel better and light through these sources of media. Some of the best action-comedy movies include ‘The Blues Brothers, ‘The Gentleman’, ‘Bad Boys for Life’, ‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Kingsman’ etc. 

 

The Kingsman film series has been really special as it is completely unique yet familiar at the same time. The overall series represents various missions of a secret service organisation, namely, Kingsman, which is joyful and full of action.

 

Kingsman has indeed captivated the hearts of the fans, and they cannot help but be eager to know what lies ahead for this amazing series. Could there be perhaps another series on the horizon? Here’s everything we know so far:

What is Kingsman about?

It is based on a comic book series having the same title written by Mark Miller and Dave Gibbons. While the comics were launched between 2012 to 2018, the franchise’s first film was released in the year 2015. The second film was released in 2017, and it is being said that the third film will be released in 2021. The first film had the Secret Service title while the second film had – The Golden Circle. The third film seems to have the title ‘The King’s Man’ itself. There are also further upcoming movies in the same franchise, according to some news reports, which will have the titles as ‘The Blue Blood’ and ‘Statesman’.

Cast & Crew behind Kingsman

‘The Secret Service’ was directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Mr. Vaughn, David Reid and Adam Bohling. It starred Colin Firth, Samuel Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine in the lead roles. George Richmond did the cinematography while Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson gave the music. The plot revolves around a character who is being recruited into a spy organisation and his training journey. This is followed by a vast mission of tackling a global threat. Primarily, it can be said that it focuses on climate change as well.  

 

‘Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn write the Golden Circle. Mr. Vaughn has also directed this movie as well. It is produced by the same set of people and has almost the same set of star cast. It has Mr. Colin Firth as Harry, Samuel Jackson as Richmond Valentine, Mark Strong as Merlin, Taron Egerton as Gary, Sophie Cookson as Roxanne, Jack Davenport as James and so on. This sequel follows the further adventures of the spy team. Both the sequels did really well at the box office as well. In fact, there are some games based on the movie too. Fans have absolutely loved and adored the film to a great extent. The second film won the empire award for best thriller category in 2018 at the Empire Awards 23rd edition. It also had some nominations at other events as well.

King and 3: Is it confirmed?

Coming to the 3rd sequel of the film franchise, the director and the writers have hinted towards the trilogy already. Some news reports also state that there might be more than just a trilogy. It states that the director and other makers of the film have confirmed the creation of the upcoming sequels. But there hasn’t been much news out right now. The movie is definitely going to be out but no trailer or teaser is out yet. Some sources say that the release date is decided to be the 22nd of December 2021. 

 

Another piece of news that is almost confirmed is that the main and supporting characters will be back too. About the script, the writer continues to ask the fans to remain patient and wait for the mystery to unfold by itself. While the first two films had amazing scripts and brilliant performances, it is obvious to expect a great play this time as well.
