Kingdom: Ashin Of The North Season 1 – Release Date
Netflix had announced on November 2 about the release of the special episode in 2021. The official date of the release of the drama has not yet been given out. Directed by Kim-sung hoon, the acting is a sequel from kingdom Season 2. Kingdom season 2 received the confirmation of release from Netflix in March 2020. Netflix has released a short teaser cut from scenes in season 2. This announced the release of the episode in 2021. Fans of Kingdom would have to wait for a while until the popular video streaming site gives out the official news of the new series’s release.
What Plot to be expected?
The drama is based on the webcomic Burning Hell Shinui Nara by Kim Eun Hee and Yang Kyung II. The drama is a sequel from Kingdom Season 2. It would provide the backstory of Ashin. It would reveal the origin of the resurrection plant and the mystery behind Ashin’s identity. Netflix released a press release regarding the release of the new series. According to the press release, the drama would shoe the backstory about the mysterious character lee Chang’s group encountered during their journey north to discover the infected origins. The surprising appearance of Gianna Jun in the role of Ashin at the end of the Kingdom Season 2 kept the audience intrigued. The audience wanted an additional series that would give the backstory of Ashin, revealing his identity. Kingdom Ashin of the north is all set to decipher the identity of Ashin. In the series, Jun as Ashin would solve the mystery behind her identity. Park Byung-Eun, who earned much acclaim in Kingdom Season two, would be seen as the head of royal commandery. The new story will detail what happened to Ashin in the past in the northern region and how the two characters’ fates intertwined.
What Cast awaits us?
The cast for the new series is expected to be the same. Two actors have been given confirmation, which includes Gianna Jun as Ashin and Park Byung-Eun. Gianna is a popular Korean actor who is famed for her performances in My Love from the star, the blue seas’ legend. She initially plated Gianna’s role in a cameo but later bagged the role of Ashin. Hearthrob Park Byung –Eun will reprise the role of Min Chi-rok from kingdom Season 2. He will lay the royal guard who plays a key role and return in this origin show with traces of the miracle flower’s root. The show’s director would be Kim- Seong hun, and he will team up again with Kim-Eun-hee, who scripted the first two seasons of Kingdom.
