Jurassic World: Dominion is a forthcoming movie in the Jurassic Park franchise which is set to release in 2022 after several delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This film will mark the conclusion of the Jurassic World trilogy and serve as a “culmination” of all the previous six movies as stated by director Colin Trevorrow. However, producer Frank Marshall disclosed last year that Jurassic World: Dominion won’t be the last movie in the Jurassic Park franchise but rather “the start of a new era.”
The highly anticipated movie is set in the repercussions of the previous movie “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ” (2018) which was a tremendous success at the box office. Fans cannot help but be filled with excitement for what the third trilogy will offer.

Jurassic World: Dominion— Plot
Plot details are kept under wraps but we have some hints given by the director himself.
In June 2021 an image was shared on Instagram along with a caption which has the word “FEATHERS” and we’re not entirely sure if this is some kind of a hint for the upcoming movie. You can check the post below:
According to Trevorrow in an interview via Entertainment Weekly said “To me, [Dominion] is a culmination of one story that’s been told,” he continued, “When you got to the end of the Jurassic Park trilogy, it may not have been as clear in what the complete story of those three movies was because they were a bit more episodic in the way that they were approached… when you watch Dominion, you really feel like you are learning how much of a story that first set of movies was and how everything that happened in those movies actually informs what ultimately can happen in this.”
Chris Pratt in a chat with MTV news also said revealed that “The island’s blown up, the animals are out, we can’t put them back in the box, what are we gonna do? How are, not only these dinosaurs, but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet? We jump forwards and it’s like, ‘Oh right, oh damn…’”
Trevorrow also told EW that the upcoming film will be a “science thriller”. He explained, “If I could contextualize each film,” he said, “I would say Jurassic World was an action-adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller in the same way that Jurassic Park was.”
What do you think? Will Jurassic World: Dominion be more of a huge hit than the previous movies? We shall see about that when the film land in theatres on June 10, 2022. In the meantime, you can check the official trailer below:
