Another well-known actor is joining the much anticipated fourth season of The Boys, as actor Jeffery Dean Morgan has been cast in the popular Amazon series in an unknown role.
The news arrived via The Boys‘ official Twitter handle, where the actor was warmly welcomed to the cast and joked that they are uncertain if he would be getting any tights to wear. Now that it’s officially confirmed about Morgan joining the cast, it was also reported that Susan Heyward has joined in as well in the upcoming fourth season of The Boys. Also, check the tweet below:

As for Jeffrey Dean Morgan, this is going to be yet another great opportunity to be working under Eric Kripke who serves as the writer, showrunner, and producer. The two previously worked together when the actor played the role of John Winchester in CW’s “Supernatural.” Morgan has since then starred in various roles such as “The Walking Dead” series and the 2009 comedy film “The Watchmen.”
In may 2022, showrunner/writer/producer Eric Kripke felt skeptical once again about Morgan whether he’d be able to get the time to finally make an appearance.
“Sad for me, happy for him: he’s currently the lead, along with Lauren Cohan, on the Walking Dead spin-off [Isle of the Dead].
“So, schedule-wise, I don’t know. We might still remain star-crossed, unfortunately, because I did ask. We had a role come up, and my first question was: ‘Well, is Jeffrey available?'” he stated.
Actor Jensen Ackles, who also previously worked with both Eric Kripke and Morgan on the Cw’s series “Supernatural” prior to joining season 3 of The Boyd in the role of Soldier Boy also remarked on his longings for Morgan to have been cast in the show after finding out a few of “preliminary conversations”.
“He’s a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show. I’d love to invite him into this fold because it’s nutty.”
Kripke earlier talked about how he tried to get Morgan’s take part in the fourth season, explaining E! News,“Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a superfan of the show, so he and I are talking. We’re trying to figure out something for season four. Nothing finalized yet, but he and I are chatting and e-mailing and seeing it we can make it work with his busy schedule. So, stay tuned on that.”
The Boys season 4 will be released sometime in 2023. Further announcements await!
