It’s been nearly three years since the comedy series’ third season aired and fans are getting a little anxious about whether another season of “In the Long Run” will happen or not. To know everything in detail, we have listed down all the latest updates, news, and potential fourth season of the series.
Conceived by Idris Elba, “In the Long Run” is a British dramedy series that was launched on Sky One in March 2018. Vaguely inspired by Elba’s childhood, the program dates back to the 1980s on the crumbly, fictional Eastbridge Estate in East London. The story revolves around the Easmon family; Walter (Elba), his missis Agnes (Madeline Appiah), and their son Kobna (Sammy Kamara) who have lived in England after relocating from Sierra Leone.
The series has so far launched a total of three seasons and fans are wondering when the fourth season will arrive. Here’s what we know about it.
Will There Be a Season 4 of In the Long Run?
As of January 2023, there hasn’t been a single word concerning a fourth season of “In the Long Run”. The network is yet to officially announce the renewal or the cancellation status of the series. However, some reports have stated that the series was canceled and there won’t be another season in the future.
Since no official news has been given out, we’re not exactly sure if the series is canceled after three seasons. On the Wikipedia page, the dates mentioned are season 1 first episode release date and the third season’s last episode release date ( 29 March 2018 – 27 August 2020) indicating that perhaps the series is over for good.
In the Long Run Season 4 Release Date
A release date for season 4 of “In the Long Run” is not announced. Given the fact that it’s been more than two years since the third season’s release, it is highly unlikely for the comedy series to be back with a new season.
