Goblin Slayer is a dark fantasy anime series, which was first aired in October 2019. After its opening scenes put it in the limelight for all wrong reasons, the anime fetched a cult fan-following around the world. It has an appealing combination of storylines and characters with power-packed action performances that keep the audience engrossed. Set in a fantasy world, the series follows the story of a young priestess who joins his first group of adventurers, together they go on a mission to save girls from goblins. However, globins do away with the party while a man called Goblin Slayer comes to the rescue of the girl. Goblin Slayer’s sole purpose is to exterminate goblins at great length. He is also working toward forming a squad to accomplish his mission.
Now fans are awaiting Goblin Slayer season two. It has been nearly three years but we have no concrete information about the same except a recent announcement by GA Bunko that installment two is in the works. So, what Season 2 has in store for us? Goblin Slayer Season 2: Release date
Unfortunately, no release date has been confirmed by the anime makers. But GA Bunko has confirmed that the show is returning for a sequel. Thus, it is the guess that the anime will drop on the streaming platforms by late 2022 or early 2023. Till then, fans do have adequate material in the form of Goblin Slayer Season 1 and Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, the 2019 movie adapted from the manga’s volume five. Hoping that a pleasant surprise is along our way by the anime creators.
Goblin Slayer Season 2: Plot Details
Goblin Slayer is an adaptation of Kumo Kagyu’s light novel. In March 2021, the novel released 14 volumes. Goblin Slayer’s first installment covers its first four volumes and the movie covers plot sequences from volume five. So, it is very much likely that its upcoming season will portray stories and characters from the remaining volumes. Goblin Slayer’s fight against Goblin has brought a group of fighters together. In the next chapter of the anime, the squad will join forces with a young wizard to carry out their collective purpose. The audience could witness the gradual building of Princess’s characters s she takes charge of the army the aid of Goblin Slayer. Be ready to see never-seen-before action, violence, and plot twists in season two.
Goblin Slayer Season 2: Cast
We are expecting that the old characters will reprise their roles in the sequel as well. Yuichiro Umehara will play the role of Goblin Slayer and Yui Ogura will make a comeback as the Priestess. Besides them, Nao Tôyama, Yûichi Nakamura, Tomokazu Sugita will be in the cast as High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, and the Lizard Priest respectively. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will be the Spear Man, Yuka Iguchi the CowGirl, and Yôko Hikasa the Witch in the anime. Although the English version of the anime will feature different names and characters. New characters would be represented by fresh voice talents in the part two of Flobin Slayer.
