Furia, a dark and complex thriller developed by International Emmy winner Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen, examines the dangerous realm of right-wing terrorism. The record-breaking series “Furia” is officially renewed and will be back with season 2 soon! Here’s everything we know about Furia season 2…

Furia Season 2 Release Date

On September 26, 2021, Viaplay debuted the scripted drama, crime, and thriller Furia. The first season of Furia is now airing. The release date for Furia season two is yet to be revealed; we can expect it to air sometime in 2024. If we find any potential announcements from the makers, we shall keep this space updated – please stay connected with us, until then!

Embla Veier Bugge, Mikkel Bugge, Ingar Johnsrud, and Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen created the second season of the scripted drama Furia. It was directed by Magnus Martens and Micha Rogalski, who also worked on the episodes of popular US television shows like “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” and “Good Behaviour.”

What To Expect From Furia Season 2?

According to IMDb, ‘Furia’s’ second season is set two years after the first. When an undercover mission goes wrong, security police agents Ragna (Ine Marie Wilmann) and Asgeir (Pl Sverre Hagen) are forced into a new race against time to thwart a terrorist plot that takes them from the arctic landscape of Lofoten to Budapest’s cobblestone streets and the bustling heart of Warsaw.

“The new season will push the limits of how exciting a Nordic thriller can be — and how beautiful and warm it can be, too,” says Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen. The audience will sense the closeness between the individuals, despite the fact that the musical is about some of the shadiest and most perilous movements of recent decades. The setting of the story, Lofoten, makes it impossible for it to be more stunning. It makes me tremendously glad to work with Viaplay again.

Viaplay Group Chief Content Officer Filippa Wallestam: “The original run of ‘Furia’ produced Viaplay’s most-watched Original debut in Norway. Since then, the show has become a tremendous hit with audiences in all of our markets thanks to its high quality and relevance. Season two’s storyline goals and European focus are even higher, reflecting Viaplay’s continuous dedication to making truly fascinating original content.

Tarjei Sandvik Moe (Skam), Iren Reppen (Himmelbl), Hallvard Holmen (Wisting), Maria Mena, and Henrik Schyffert (‘A Class Apart’) are all featured in the six-part series.

Furia Season 1 Plot Recap!

In order for Asgeir (Pl Sverre Hagen) to join the police force in Vestvik, a secluded and picture-perfect tiny village, Asgeir and his daughter travel there.  On the first night Asgeir is in town, a murder takes place as is customary in crime series. The Muslim refugee centre was vandalised by a young local boy. A Muslim suspect is found right away, and mild-mannered police chief Siem (Henrik Mestad) declares the investigation closed.

Asgeir is not convinced. In addition to working as a cook at a resort, Ragna (Ine Marie Wilmann) is a Catholic alt-right blogger who discusses how liberals and refugees are attacking Christianity. We learn that Ragna is actually a cop integrated into a local alt-right terrorist cell that is a part of a vast European network thanks to a disastrous miscalculation on Asgeir’s part. Fortunately, her secret was kept.

Asgeir confesses that he is a special ops operative who is hiding from the Russian mob in order to placate Ragna. To hide out and provide his daughter a regular life, he reasoned that Vestvik would be a decent choice. Ha! Things swiftly spiral out of control, so if you can suspend your disbelief that this peaceful hamlet is a hub for global terrorism, you’re in for a thrilling trip.

Furia Season 2: Where To Watch?
