There is no concrete news or updates regarding Forza Horizon 6. But we do know that a sixth series of Forza Horizon is happening now that the fifth instalment of Forza Horizon has already launched in November 2021.
Forza Horizon is a racing video that debuted in 2012 developed by Playground Games and launched by Microsoft Studios. The game has four Forza series in total with Forza Horizon 5 which is set to be released by this year.
The games take place in a made-up Horizon Festival, a street racing tournament put up in the state of Colorado, US. The main goal is to advance this by winning races while at the same time heightening the popularity status through conducting dangerous stunts. Players can also steer their vehicle off-road in selected regions while other players are restricted by barriers or other hindrances.
What is the game about?
Forza Horizon concentrates more on casual road racing, compared to racing on tracks professionally, where the map shows public roads that have been shut down temporarily.
The street racing video game also highlights many kinds of races, such as drifting to rallying and point-to-point races. In the game, the highways have AI traffic that monitors every player online.
Players are also allowed to challenge the other racers they meet in a one on one race to the allotted location. The races begin at the existing location and then finish off in a randomly selected waypoint, about 500 meters away from the players and their competitors. A skill set is thereby executed in the game; gamers attain popularity during various racing events by steering the wheel fiercely. Stunts like drifting, jumping over fences etc. are all credited to the gamer’s popularity status. The more a gamer’s popularity increases the more you unlock special events and tournaments.
The Forza Horizon franchise has released many series under its name and has four sequels in total: Forza Horizon 2 (2014), Forza Horizon 3 (2016), Forza Horizon 4 (2018), and Forza Horizon 5, soon to be released in 2021.
Forza Horizon 6: Rumours & Speculations
We mentioned that we have no news or updates regarding the sixth sequel but according to rumours, it was reported that Forza Horizon 6 is in the works. We have no idea how much this is true but the game developers are yet to confirm this. Also, if we’re lucky enough, the game developers will make an official announcement for the sixth instalment possibly by the end of this year.
Leaks
Even before the fifth installment was launched there were multiple leaks on the forthcoming game circulating on the Internet. The leaks included the map of Japan which made many fans believe that the next game will perhaps caption Japan’s setting. Many anticipated that Japan will be featured in FH 5 but unfortunately, that didn’t happen so hopefully, in the sixth installment of FH the developers will make Japan the primary location as fans have been wanting this for a long time now.
Forza Horizon 6: Release Date
Currently, Forza Horizon 6 doesn’t have a release date. The game developers are yet to announce this. However, if the speculations are true and if the sequel game is really in development, it will likely take about two years which means Forza Horizon 6 will be launched in 2023 or may even extend to somewhere in 2024.
