With all the changes that have been occurring at Warner Bros after the merger with discovery, a lot of already-filmed projects have been postponed. Is Fantastic Beasts 4 happening?
Your guess is as good as ours! You see, Fantastic Beast was a box office drop. And as unfortunate as this may sound, the new bosses at Warner Bros Discovery will rather continue a well-established property than a box office drop. This makes the future of the Fantastic Beasts film series sort of unclear. While Fantastic Beasts was renewed initially for the fourth movie, after their merger with Discovery, nothing can be said at the moment. Let’s await an official confirmation. When is the release date for Fantastic Beasts four?
After four years of being officially renewed, the Secrets of Dumbledore premiered in April 2022. On that note, Fantastic Beasts hasn’t even been renewed officially. Though this chaos is getting on everybody’s nerves, guess we just gotta be patient and await formal announcements. We originally speculated that the fourth film may hit the screens around 2023. But as of now, it’s likely we will have to wait until 2025 – even 2026.
In February 2022, producer David Heyman revealed that the scriptwriting for the fourth movie has begun (as per ScreenRant). If any new information is released, we will update this space. Make sure you bookmark this page for all the latest updates!
The Cast
For the fourth movie of Fantastic Beasts, we can expect all the prime characters to return. But again nothing has been confirmed, as of December 2022.
As for Ezra Miller’s Credence Barebone, the future seems pretty uncertain. In the third movie it was implied that he’s Dumbledore. But he’s actually Aberforth’s (Richard Coyle) son and not Albus’s brother. It was also revealed that he’s slowly dying. We speculate that he’ll die off-screen. But he might be featured in a cameo in the next film.

Expected Plot
JK Rowling confirmed that the movies will take on the 19 years of Wizarding World History. This will take the last one up to 1945. This is the year when Dumbledore defeated Gridelwald. And claimed the Elder Wand. That’s also the year when you-know-who (well, future Voldemort) graduated from Hogwarts. Because the film series hasn’t been officially renewed yet, the plot cannot be predicted. In case other developments are revealed, we will inform you guys. Stay tuned!
