CBS has officially revealed the cast and crew for their new reality series for it’s upcoming series, The Real Love Boat participants which is going to premiering Oct. 5. The TV reality show is combined of elements of a dating show with the luxury of a romantic cruise.
The plot of the series will be: “Twelve singles will board the ship, complete with its own captain, bartender, and cruise director (a nod to classic characters from the original series).”
Also, it is now officially announced that Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell, Ezra Freeman will host the series and the cruise will set sail throughout the Mediterranean, making ports of call in Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Santorini, Athens, and more. Each of the participants will start their journey for finding their true love, by competing in challenges to test their compatibility with other players through several tasks.
“After years of consuming, arguing about and dissecting unscripted television, hosting a reality series where a group of singles look for love while aboard a Princess Cruise ship, seemed like a dream come true,” said the husband-and-wife team in a joint statement Tuesday. “When we heard it was aboard The Real Love Boat, that dream got an iconic theme song – ‘we promise something for everyone.’ ”
“Like the beloved original scripted series, the indispensable crew members including the ‘captain’ and the ‘cruise director’ will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romance and sometimes turbulent waters ahead,” according to CBS. After a month at sea, a winning couple will take home a cash prize along with a — you guessed it — a “once in a lifetime” trip with Princess Cruises, which will serve as the series’ exclusive partner.

As of this writing, there were zero disclosures considering the star cast for ‘The Real Love Boat’. The show creators haven’t released an official star cast list yet.
