The death of Eddie was so sudden that fans aren’t ready to accept it. Hence, one distraught fan named Maddy published a written plea that read: “This is a petition I have started to bring back fan favourite Eddie Munson.
“The Duffer Brothers have unfairly killed him off and many other fans and I think he deserves to be brought back and not just as a flashback, please sign this petition to spread awareness.” The petition has so far received thousands of signatures to bring back the character.
Nonetheless, that has not ceased fans theorizing about probable routes that Eddie could come back from the dead for the fifth season, with one certain theory appearing on Reddit has been circulating and since then many fans have shared their own theories.
The Duffers duo, the creators of the widely popular series have provided the Internet with some clues for the upcoming season after the final two episodes of the fourth season which ended on a major cliffhanger.

Series star Joseph Quinn who plays Eddie informed RadioTimes.com that his end was “a brilliantly realized ending for a brilliantly written character” and “as an actor, you want characters with those kinds of arc”, so it unquestionably sounds as though Eddie Munson’s screen time on the series could be done for or is it?
Well, as far as the theory goes– Eddie will indeed return but as a VAMPIRE!
