Peaky Blinders Season 6: When is it Coming Out?
The series director, Anthony Byrne indicated via a Twitter post that the filming has resumed in January 2021 after a nine-month delay in production. It is a fair assumption that the shoot will end in May or probably June this year. In addition, post-production may take five to six months. So, expect that the series will be dropped on Netflix either by late 2021 or early 2022. But sadly, chapter six will mark the end to the Peaky Blinders gang.
Peaky Blinders Season 6: Plot twist
The fifth season ended on a cliffhanger, unlike its previous chapters. Tommy, the patriarch head of the criminal gang, was seen brandishing a gun to his head amidst the intensifying political tensions. The foiled murder of Sir Oswald Mosely leaves behind a trail of unanswered questions. There are suspicions that Michael and Gina might have something to do with the failed murder attempt. Anthony has revealed that the audience will see more of Gina and her family in the next season. The story will also unveil the betrayal against Tommy and the gang. There are strong hopes on the series’ last season which is going to be set in the background of the 1930s with World War 2nd looming.
Season 6 Peaky Blinders is likely to stream in the US on BBC. Following which, it will be available in other countries on the giant streaming platform, Netflix. Hoping that the last chapter of the Peaky Blinders saga is the best of all. Watch out this space for more.
UPDATES— Peaky Blinders teases release date for the sixth season. Sadly, the series won’t return until 2022. Another sad news is, BBC announced on September 19, 2021 that Peaky Blinders season 6 will be the final season.
Even though this is the last season of the series, we cannot wait to see what the upcoming season has in store for the Shelby fam.
On September 17, an image was shared on the official account on Instagram that captioned “Editor at work. Tommy Shelby back on our screens in #PeakyBlinders series 6, coming 2022.”
Conrad Khan who will make his debut on the sixth of Peaky Blinders hinted that the show may arrive in early 2022.
In a chat with Radio Times, actor Conrad Khan said,
“That comes out, from what I last heard – I mean, these things change so quickly – I think that will come out next February, the beginning of next year.”
He resumed, “There was so much footage, so many episodes, that it does take a while to edit – six months or something.”
In an interview with Digital Spy, Anthony politely addressed the assumptions around a probable date. He said, “If we did start shooting in January (2021), we wouldn’t finish until May or June and then it’s another six months of editing.”
The shooting did commence in January and filming officially wrapped in May. On Twitter, an image was shared with a caption “It’s a wrap! Huge thanks to the cast and crew of #PeakyBlinders season 6. You’ve given this one everything. And it’s going to be epic…”
