Erased Season 2: Release Date, Cast & Plot
The series centers around the story of a 29-year-old boy, Satou Fujinama who has a “revival” ability that allows him to go back in time and bring people out of life-threatening situations. However, the murder of his mother in their apartment sends him 18 years back from his present life. He is back to elementary school and trying to save many lives including his own mother’s. Following the release of its first part, fans are eagerly awaiting a sequel. But unfortunately, the streaming giant or the production house has not renewed the series for another season yet. So, the question comes: would there be Erased Season 2? Here’s everything to know:
Erased Season 2: Release date
Currently, Netflix has not given the series a green signal for a second installment. In such a scenario, it is difficult to anticipate the airing date of the series. Given that, the fans have to wait some more time to see it.
Before the final ending of the manga was revealed, a live-action film and anime made its appearance in March 2016. Thus, Netflix’s live-action series is going to be wholesome in itself.
So assuming that the series gets renewed, fans can expect the new season to be released sometime in 2023.
Erased Season 2: Plot twist
Erased Season 1 was a bit disappointing for the fans of the manga. The story drifted in a different direction, not leaving room for any loose ends. So, it is not easy to predict what season 2 has in store for the viewers. But there is a probability that Season two may adapt the spinoff novel that follows the aftermath of the Previous part’s events. Season 2 might not be what you are thinking but it may have a fresh storyline that further explores the main character and abilities. It would be interesting to see how the show makers lead the story ahead with a new format.
Season 1 consisted of 12 episodes, so we are assuming the sequel to have the same number of episodes, if not less. However, after the renewal, we would have detailed specifics about the show.
Erased Season 2: Cast
So far, there is no word regarding the cast of Erased Season 2. Further, it would be insignificant to expect the return of Season 1’s cast. As the story will progress in the upcoming season, new voice actors may join the cast.
In the last season, Ben Diskin and Michelle Ruff bring Satoru’s character to the audience. Ben voices the 29-year-old Satoru whereas Michelle voices the younger version of Satoru in its English version. These voice actors have been heard earlier in a couple of popular movies.
