Walt Disney Animation studio is all set to return the musical fantasy that revolves around the Madrigals family and their magical house in the mountains of Colombia. With the release still a long way away, there’s a lot more that hasn’t been revealed. Let’s find out more about the release date, cast and plot of the upcoming animated movie Encanto.
When Is The Release Date For Encanto?
The wait is finally over. Encanto, an upcoming American animated movie, is finally releasing on November 24, 2021, theatrically in the US. The movie is directed by Byrom Howard and Jared Bush, co-directed by Charise Castro Smith.
Disney has also announced that the film will not debut on Disney+, like the movie Mulan (2020) and Soul (2020) but rather Encanto will be available in theaters in November.
Plot For The Movie Encanto
The film follows the story of a very unique yet remarkable family who calls themselves “The Madrigals.” They live in a magical house in the secluded mountains of Colombia in a lively town, so wonderful and so full of mysterious magic called an Encanto.
The Town’s Encanto magic has caused every child in the family to have superpowers except for one child named Mirabel.
But Mirabel soon finds out that Encanto is in danger and thus she decides to do everything she can in order to save the town. Will she be able to stop it even though she has no powers? Unfortunately, there’s still a lot that hasn’t been revealed about the movie. We’ll have to find out the whole story when the film hit the theatres.
The Cast of Encanto
Encanto’s main character Mirabel will be voiced by none other than Stephanie Beatriz who is portrayed as a 15-year-old girl who has no powers.
Mirabel’s character will be more of a funny, kind and loving character, loaded with courage who isn’t afraid to stand on her own even though she will struggle to find her place among her friends and her family.
Stephanie Beatriz also added that, “I’m Colombian on my father’s side, and playing this role fills me with immense pride.”
Joining Stephanie Beatriz are Wilmer Valderrama and Diane Guerrero who will lend their voices in the upcoming animated movie Encanto. Others including, Colombian actress Angie Cepeda, Marvel’s Runaways’ Rhenzy Feliz and Narcos star Carolina Gaitán, María Cecilia Botero, Jessica Darrow and Mauro Castillo will also make an appearance in the movie.
Encanto will also have a new original song performed by Carlos Vives, a singer-songwriter, an actor and a 17 time Grammy and Latin Grammy winner.
