(May 17, 2023) – Acclaimed actress Elle Fanning has officially joined the star-studded cast of “A Complete Unknown,” the much-anticipated biopic of folk music legend Bob Dylan. Fanning will play Sylvia Russo, a university student and artist who was Dylan’s girlfriend in the early 1960s.
The film, directed by James Mangold, will chart Dylan’s rise to fame, from his humble beginnings in the New York City folk scene of the 1960s to his transformative motorcycle crash in 1966. Timothée Chalamet, known for his roles in films such as “Call Me By Your Name” and “Little Women,” has been cast in the role of Dylan, and will be showcasing his musical talents by performing his own singing in the film.
