Five billboards have popped up across downtown Toronto promoting Drake’s heavily teased album dropping next Friday, Scorpion. One billboard features a owl about to snatch a scorpion and underneath it, there’s another billboard that reads, “changing from boy to a man.”
Some of the other billboards share some cryptic messaging. One of them reads, “Don’t hit me when you hear this.” Is this a potential shot at Pusha-T?

However, the two other billboards seem to hint at a possible double disc album. One of them reads, “A Side B Side.” And another billboard says, “Is there more.”
Side 1- Boy?
Side 2- Man?
Last week Drake took to Instagram after a two week hiatus to debut a new music video for his latest single, “I’m Upset”.
After a decade since Drake left his alma mater, Degrassi Community School, he returned to his Degrassi: The Next Generation T.V roots for a reunion.
And for perhaps, some payback?
THEORY 1: RELEASE DATE – CONFIRMED
The cover art for the first single off of Scorpion, “I’m Upset”, cover photo shows a “scorpion rising”, with a full moon rising in the background.
According to our records, the next full moon is slated for June 28/29th which is also when Drake announced his new album would be releasing.
Are you intrigued yet?
THEORY 2: ALBUM COVER
If you go into photoshop and tweak the colouring effects around the “I’m Upset” cover art, you can see the arms of an actual skeleton body a bit more clearly. It also seems as though the skeleton’s left hand is covering up his face.
This leaves us with some more important questions that need to be answered:
- Is Drake the Scorpion?
- Is Drake the Skeleton?
- Will he go into detail about his alleged son?
- Does he have an answer for Pusha-T?
Drake’s 5th studio album is scheduled to be released on June 29, 2018.
