The world was shaken when the news broke that former One Direction star Harry Styles would be appearing in the upcoming psychology thriller film ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ directed by Olivia Wilde. The hunk replaces actor Shia LaBeouf due to a scheduling conflict.
Actor Chris Pine who would also be seen in the upcoming film has highly praised his co-star Harry Styles. In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, “Harry Styles is an absolute delight. He’s one of the most professional people I’ve ever met. Couldn’t be kinder, more gracious, I mean, really, I was stunned by this kid. He’s off-the-charts cool.” He resumed, “It’s a great cast. You know, life is short, so hopefully, you get a chance to make good art with people you really enjoy, and I’ve been really, really lucky in that regard.”
Actress/director Olivia Wilde too was overjoyed when she heard the news that Harry Styles would be joining her film. In a recent interview, Wilde revealed, “I did a little victory dance when we heard that we officially had Harry in the film, because we knew that he has a real appreciation for fashion and style.” She resumed, “And this movie is incredibly stylistic. It’s very heightened and opulent, and I’m really grateful that he is so enthusiastic about that element of the process—some actors just don’t care.”
Release Date
The film is hitting theatres on September 23, 2022, although it’s still a long way away. Fans need to wait patiently to see Harry Styles and Florence Pugh who’ll be seen playing as a married couple.

The highly anticipated film by Olivia Wilde includes Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Asif Ali, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Kiki Layne, Sydney Chandler, Dita Von Teese, Kate Berlant, and Nick Kroll.
According to The Hollywood Reporter back in September 2021, it was confirmed that Olivia Wilde herself would be a part of the supporting role she will play as Mary.
‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Plot: What to expect from the story?
As per Deadline, the film is “set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.”
Harry Styles and Florence Pugh would be seen playing as a married couple in an unusual community. Collider reported that Pugh showcases a miserable housewife who doubts her sanity when weird things begin to happen in her neighbourhood. Harry Styles plays her affectionate husband who’s keeping a “dark secret.” While Chris Pine plays the esteemed ruler of a mysterious, cult-like organisation. Johnson portrays Pugh’s neighbour who shows an odd, paranoid personality and attempts to inform Pugh that everything in their neighbourhood is not what it seems like.
Chris Pine in an interview with Entertainment Tonight also revealed that “The aesthetic of the movie is beautiful. The story is so compelling and so fun and so dark and twisted.”
