Disney’s Cruella is Slated to Premiere in May 2021 and Everything We Know Yet
Cruella is not an unfamiliar character in the television industry. In 1961, fans were introduced to this female villain via a Disney classic animated movie. However, the character has been around in between the pages of Dorie Smith’s book before that. Later, a live-action remake featuring Glenn Close, titled ‘One Hundred and One Dalmatians’, drew fans’ attention across the globe. The work on the prequel to Cruella began in 2016, and since then, viewers are awaiting the news of its release. But the good thing is that the wait will not last long. With the teaser trailer out in mid-February, 2021, audiences get a sneak into the villainous side of Cruella.

Cruella: When would the prequel premiere?
It is a surprising fact that the movie’s production is not impeded by global mayhem. Originally Cruella was slated for a December 2020 release, however, before the onset of the pandemic, Display pushed the premiere date further. Now, it is set to hit Disney Plus on 28th May 2021. Cruella: What is the storyline about?
Cruella follows the original background story that made her the badass villain of all time. Set in 1970’s London, the movie unveils Cruella as Estella, who is trying to be a prominent face in the fashion world. If you have watched its last parts, you may have met Cruella who stripped the skins of puppies to design herself a fur coat. Yet the biggest questions revolving around the character would be answered through Cruella. Be ready to see the character’s predilections towards everything evil in the movie.

Cruella: Who will be the cast?
It is no secret that the role of Cruella is being played by Oscar Award-winning actress, Emma Stone. Yet the film’s cast has other big names associated with it like Oscar winner, Emma Thompson. Thompson will appear as the Baroness von Hellman, a maven of the fashion world in London.
Cruella’s sidekick, Jasper, and Harper will make a comeback in the prequel. Joel Fry and Paul Walter Hauser will be playing the part of Cruella’s criminal henchmen. Another popular character from the 101 Dalmatians movies, Anita, will be played by Emily Beecham. Every part explores a different relation between Anita and Cruella. Seldom, Anita is an old acquaintance while in other parts, she is the boss lady. This time, a cameo from Anita’s dog is what we look forward to.
