We’ve always been told not to cheat and that cheating is bad and immoral but the recently launched game show on Netflix which is titled Cheat, permits the participants to do the contrary. And quite literally, in this competition, that is exactly what you’re supposed to do and that is to Cheat your way to a fortune! Pretty interesting right? That said, fans are anxiously awaiting the series to return with the second season, and here’s what we know about it.
The first season of Cheat was filmed right in front of the studio audience, and it was developed by Giles Boden, Laura Gibson, and Charlie Bennett. The quiz competition show is executive produced by Jamie Rea and Jonno Richards.
Will There Be a Season 2 Of Cheat?
The show has gained a lot of attention ever since it aired and viewers seemed to have enjoyed watching its first season for its uniqueness and entertainment. Now, the burning question that many fans want to know is whether or not Cheat would be back for another season. Well, unfortunately, there has been no confirmation. Currently, the series has neither been confirmed nor canceled but given the popularity of the show, it is likely that Netflix will renew the series for a season two. Stay tuned!
Netflix Cheat Season 2 Release Date
The competition show made its debut on Netflix on the 1st of March 2023. Season one consists of 12 episodes in total. Coming back to the second season’s release date, there is no announcement yet because the show has yet to be renewed. It is not known when the show will return with the new season but if renewed, fans can expect Cheat Season 2 to be out sometime in 2024 at the earliest.
Cheat Season 2: Contestants & Hosts
As of now, not a single update has been provided by the show makers. Hence, it is not known who the contestants are as nothing is revealed but it is expected that season two of Cheat will introduce us to a new batch of contestants. As for the hosts, the MCs in the first season were British actors and TV personalities Danny Dyer and Ellie Taylor.
Hence, if season two gets confirmed, we’d expect Dyer and Taylor to return to their MCing duties in season 2 of Cheat.
What Can We Expect In Season 2 of Cheat?
In season one we witnessed how the show incorporates brains, humor, and a lying expert as four participants compete in each episode. All four contestants’ knowledge is put to the test through three stages, and sometimes they may have to lie/bluff to get to the top without being found out as they will be immediately eliminated. The one contestant who made it to the top is declared the winner and gets a hefty cash prize of £50,000.
In this case, we expect season two to follow a similar concept but maybe with new twists making it more difficult for the contestants as they lie their way to get that cash prize!
