Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron is gearing up to return in the driver’s chair for the upcoming movie “Fast X” which is the tenth “Fast and Furious” film of the franchise.
Theron who is popularly known for playing many villain roles will once again reprise her role as the villain Cipher. She appeared in “The Fate of the Furious” (2017) and “F9” (2021). The actress will also star in the eleventh and last “Fast” movie, which is said to be already in the works.
She has shared a few BTS (behind-the-scenes) set pictures that reveal Cipher is back for the upcoming entry and showed off her yet another new look. The black & white photos indicate that Theron’s role as Cipher has lengthier locks in this film and seems to be still flaunting her stylish outfit. The photo also teases two armored bodies, which implies a death toll to arrive in whatever sequence Theron is shooting. Check out the images below:
The forthcoming tenth installment of the blockbuster film series has also cast another A-lister who is none other than Aquaman actor Jason Momoa. Though details of his characters are still not known. Momoa expressed his excitement about working with the actress in an interview and conveyed, “I get to shoot with some really cool people that I have never— I get to work with Charlize first up, which I’m excited about. She’s amazing,” per Comicbook.
Some other new faces will also be introduced to the film series in “Fast X” and possibly the eleventh movie as well. The stars set to appear are our very own “Captain Marvel” Brie Larson and “Suicide Squad” star Daniela Melchior. Other familiar faces returning to the film include, Vin Diesel (as Dominic Toretto), Jordana Brewster (as Mia Toretto), Tyrese Gibson (as Roman), Michelle Rodriguez (as Letty), Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (as Tej), Nathalie Emmanuel (as Ramsey), and Sung Kang (as Han). Michael Rooker who co-starred with Diesel in “Guardians of the Galaxy” cameoed as old Toretto a family friend Buddy in “F9,” will also reprise his role in “Fast X.”
Previously, it was reported that the tenth and eleventh film will be filmed back to back and then bring an end to the franchise. “It is back-to-back,” Diesel notified ComicBook.com about the 10th and 11th films. “The target release date is 02/23 for the first one and 02/24 for the second one. We were supposed to release this movie last year, prior to the pandemic. So I guess what’s different about this release is that we’re a year into development and pre-production on Fast 10.”
