Some people like to do things differently, like break a pattern that society has known for decades or mix the traditionally known ideologies and theories with a modern twist. Black Jesus is something like the latter, which brings an African-American Jesus to the audience who is living in a modern society in California. Though the show has raised several controversies since its debut in 2014, it still had a good run for three seasons. Many Christian followers believed that the show hurt their religious sentiments and mocked their God. So much so that the Christian community even started an online petition to cancel Black Jesus. The petition has been signed by over 10,000 supporters citing their reasons for cancellation. But that was around 10 years ago. Before the circulation of the petition, the show was canceled by the creators, which made it official that chapter three will mark an end to the sitcom. However, there have been talks about a potential season 4 of Black Jesus making rounds on social media platforms. So, is there a possibility of the return of this controversial show? Or is it on an infinite hiatus?
Check out the information related to Black Jesus season 4 below to be more up-to-date about its current developments:
Black Jesus Season 4’s Premiere date: When will be out?
There is no set date for the release of Black Jesus 4 since it’s still unclear whether a season 4 is even on the cards or not. Even if it gets renewed, it will continue with its prior storyline, portraying Jesus at a mental asylum, selling fresh seafood, preaching goodness and kindness with a group of downtrodden followers, and heading Crompton Junior Football Club as shown in the last concluding episodes. There is a little hope that the show will be picked by another network and go on delivering more episodes to its fanbase. But at this point, no detail about a potential chapter four is known or revealed by the production house or the makers.
With that, we still have a lot of content from its prior seasons to watch and devour. Each season has almost ten episodes that are streaming on various platforms.
Black Jesus Season 4’s plotline: What could it be about?
It is quite early to anticipate what is going to happen after the events of season three. Black Jesus does not go by the book, making it even harder to speculate its plotline. Though it is safe to assume that if the fourth installment is announced at any time, it will pick up from where the last chapter left off. Jesus is on his mission to preach love and kindness to the coCharlientemporary world while clearing the different hurdles that he faces along his journey.

We expect most if not all cast members to return for another season. Gerald Johnson reprising his role as Jesus Christ.
