Based on Sarah Pinbrough’s book, Netflix’s Behind Her Eyes is a psychological thriller series starring Simona Brown, Tom Bateman, Eve Hewson, and Robert Aramayo. Its season one aired in February 2021 and was a massive hit for the streaming platform. Since then, fans are clamoring for its second installment, but the streamer has not renewed it yet and it’s unlikely that the series will be renewed because it’s been slated as a limited series. Behind Her Eyes Season 2: Release date
As of May 2022, there is no concrete information about the airing date of Behind Her Eyes’ follow-up. However, given that the first part’s filming was wrapped up in nearly six months and it took another 16 months for the series to broadcast on Netflix, season two might not release anytime soon. If the streaming platform gives a green signal to the show’s creators, then the series is likely to come out by late 2022. But we’re sad to inform you that Netflix has axed the series and there won’t be another season.
Behind Her Eyes Season 1 Recap
The show begins with a drunken kiss between single mother Louise and a man who later turns out to be her new boss, David. Louise befriends David’s wife, Adele and things become even more complicated when Louise and David begin an affair.
In the season finale, Louise discovers that “Adele” is actually Adele’s friend Rob, who can project his consciousness into Adele’s body. Louise ends up gaining this ability herself. This ends up changing the whole course of the story.
When Louise realizes this, Rob transfers his consciousness to her body, while Louise transfers her consciousness to Adele’s.
Louise-in-Adele’s body is killed by Rob-in-Louise’s body, and Rob then takes over Louise’s life, marrying David and raising Adam. Although David is clueless that Louise is actually Rob, by the end of the season, Adam begins to believe something is wrong with his mother.

Behind Her Eyes Season 2: Plot details
Behind Her Eyes revolves around the story of Louise, a single mother, who gets into an affair with David, whom he later discovered to be her boss. Things turn complicated and ugly when Adele, David’s wife, extends her friendship to Lousie. Then follows an unexpected set of events where nobody is really what they are. Rob, an old pal of Adele, has taken over Adele’s body which is revealed later, so the viewers have never got a glimpse of Adele’s character. Rob is also in love with David. While Louise finds that little secret Rob, he projects his soul into Louise’s body while the latter’s body is moved to Adele’s. Now, the physical body of Adele is dead while Rob ties the knot with David, who thinks he is Louise. Adam, the son of Louise is the first to find out that something is wrong with his mother. Predicting what would take place after the events of the previous season is tricky, but it is a safe bet to say that the upcoming season would unravel new twists and turns to make the series more entertaining and enthralling.
Some obvious questions seek answers in the next season. Whether David would know about their acts of Rob or he would continue to live his life under a blanket of lies? Or would Adele return to the show or does her part ends with her physical body’s death? We are expecting the show creators quench our curiosity in Season two of the series.

If not all, most characters of the previous season would make a comeback for season 2. So, be prepared to see Louise, David, Adele, Rob, and Adam. It is doubtful if the actress Eve Hewson would return to the next season considering her physical body died in the previous episode or not. We can conclude that Tom Bateman, Simona Brown, and Robert Aramayo would reappear in the second chapter of the series. In addition to the main cast, Tyler Howitt, the son of Louise would also be a part of the cast.
Behind the Eyes Season 2 currently stands canceled as it’s a limited series and therefore, fans won’t get to see more new episodes of this amazing series.
