The animated series focuses on two sisters, Vi and Powder/Jinx who are on the opposite sides of a battle in the mid of the rising tensions between the utopian Piltover and the repressed undercity Zaun. Starring Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell as the lead voice cast, the show has garnered praises for its visual appeal, intriguing tale, acting performances, and solid characterization. The first season’s last episode ended with a cliffhanger that left fans craving for more from creators. Fortunately, a season two of Arcane is already in the making as confirmed by the showrunners after its first round of episodes. So, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season two of Arcane from its plot to cast news to the release date.
Arcane Season two’s release date: When’s Arcane Season two getting aired?
To fans’ joy, season two of Archane has hit production on 21st November 2021 but has little chance of landing in 2022. The series’ first season took as long as six years to come out, however, its follow-up would not take this long as promised by Riot Games’ creative head via a Twitter post. With that in mind, Arcane’s next batch of episodes could drop in 2023, at the earliest. Additionally, some rumors hint that the series will be back by late-2022. Fingers crossed for that.
Arcane’s season two’s storyline: What will it be about?
Arcane season two has a lot of stories to be explored given its first installment’s ending. Season one saw Jinx losing her mental stability after the demise of Silco, which led her to shoot a rocket at the Council building, at the moment when the Council was passing a law relating to granting an independent status to Zaun. It is yet not clear who has made it alive from the mishap. In addition, Silco’s death may invite Vander’s adopted daughter, Vi to take over the undercity provided that Vander was a de facto leader in Zaun. But what we look forward to in next season is more conflicts and battles between Piltovera and Zaun after the events of season one. The elevating mayhem between these cities may result in many deaths and unplanned events.
But fans have to wait a while to know what comes next after season one since there is no official p[lot synopsis for season two at this moment. So, make sure to check with us to get more information about Arcane season two’s storyline.
Arcane Season two cast: Who will be in the cast?
If not all, many of the main cast of the series would return for a second outing. To name a few, Hailee Steinfield will voice Vi, Ella Purnell will bring back the powerful character of Jinx, Katie Leung will play Caitlyn Kiramman, Reed Shannon as Ekko, and Harry Lloyd as Viktor. Unfortunately, Jason Spisak’s character Silco ( the criminal lord) has died in the clashes between the gang, thus it is not likely that Jason will reappear in season two. Aside from him, JB Blanc’s Vander met a tragic end after Silco abducts him.
Additionally, there is speculation that Warwick, the half-wolf, the half-non-human, who has no trace of his memories before he is tested at Singed laboratory, would be in the series cast. Although there is no statement confirming it yet.
Christian Linke and Alex Yee have created this marvelous series. And Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord have directed the show.
Is there any trailer for Arcane Season two available yet?
With the renewal announcement back in 2021, creators also released a teaser that shows no latest footage of the series. So, that said, a full-length trailer for Arcane Season two may not arrive until late 2022.
