It hasn’t been that long since season eleventh of Apex Legends titled “Escape” came out. To be more precise, it was launched on November 2, 2021, and will conclude on February 8, 2022. Although it’s still ongoing, fans are ecstatic and extremely looking forward to the next instalment of Apex Legends which is the twelfth season called “Defiance”.
Needless to say, Respawn has been teasing about who the succeeding legend will be and it appears like gamers assumptions were right on point as Mad Maggie is confirmed and heads her way into the Apex world.
Mad Maggie is an old companion turned foe of Fuse’s as both of them share the same history on Salvo. They were both raised in Salvo and later Maggie whose actual name is Margaret Kohere came to serve as a ferocious defender all for Salvo’s freedom while Fuse chose to join the Apex Games, the two eventually had a fallout. Out of vengeance, Maggie blasted off one of Fuse’s arms and a portion of King’s Canyon.
Maggie is more or less described as “a cutthroat punk-rock warlord and the Outlands’ meanest mad-lass.” However, her specific equipment is yet to be disclosed. Let’s find out what the upcoming Apex Legends season 12 Defiance has in store for us.
Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance: When will it launch?
Respawn Entertainment officially announced that the much anticipated Apex Legends Season 12 is all set to launch on February 8, 2022. No specific time has been disclosed as of now or for when the games will arrive, but fans can expect a trial to download before 6:00 PM GMT.
Respawn also dropped another announcement indicating that the mentioned unlock time will be when the third anniversary of the game will commence.
A statement from the Apex squad explains: Celebrate the third Anniversary of Apex Legends with three weeks of rewards! Jump into Apex Legends: Defiance and for a limited-time earn Legends, Thematic packs, and a Legendary pack.

So be sure to jump in when Apex Legends: Defiance launches on February 8th and start claiming your rewards.

What new details to look forward to for the upcoming Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance?
It is reported that a new LTM titled Control will be introduced in the upcoming season. The official site states: “For the first 3 weeks of Defiance, see whether you can handle the madness in the new Control mode. Select your loadout and drop in to a 9v9 experience where teams battle to hold control points with infinite respawn.”
A new hero will emerge which is none other than Mad Maggie. The crazy badass Maggie is set to debut as the new legend and for all the crimes she’s committed; she’s compelled to battle to the death in the games.
The official site also reveals that Olympus will make a return this season and players will get a chance to see “new view from Olympus” and the site further stated that “something’s different about the floating city,” we’re not exactly sure what that means but sounds interesting. As for the map updates, nothing is revealed for now but very soon we hope.
Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance: Trailer
The new trailer, “Stories from the Outlands– Judgement” is officially out now. In the trailer, Mad Maggie appears and is being targeted for treason and creating riots. She is being punished to death, just as her execution was being carried off, Eduardo Silva– an influential persona and Octane’s father stops the execution and suggests that she’d rather be thrown to the Apex Games.
