Netflix dropped some delightful announcements about its forthcoming movie “The Pain Hustlers.” More new prominent actors have been reportedly added to the cast which is being led by Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place) and our very own Captain America Chris Evans (The Gray Man).
A crime drama that twists insights of the American Dream, the official synopsis for The Pain Hustlers describes “Dreaming of a better life for her and her young daughter, Liza Drake (Blunt), a high-school dropout, lands a job with a failing pharmaceutical start-up in a yellowing strip mall in Central Florida. Liza’s charm, guts and drive catapult the company and her into the high life, where she soon finds herself at the centre of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences,”
The first actor to have joined the cast was Academy Award candidate Andy Garcia. The actor has been featured in several highly lauded movies namely “The Godfather III” and “Dead Again.” Garcia was also seen in other movies such as “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ocean’s Twelve.” Previously, the actor starred in a remake of “Father of the Bride” and “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”
Also, another high-profile actor joining the cast of The Pain Hustlers is Catherine O’Hara, a two-time Emmy Canadian actor who voiced the fan-adored character Sally in the animation movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and shortly she gained more popularity became known in the business industry after portraying the mother (as Kate McCallister) of Macaulay in the popular movie “Home Alone” and “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.” Recently, the Canadian actor was commended again for her talent as she portrayed Moira Rose in “Schitt’s Creek.”
The Pain Hustlers will be helmed by David Yates, famously known for his work for directing a total of four movies in the Harry Potter series. Variety reported that the upcoming movie will have a comparable concept to other crime dramas like “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “The Big Short,” and “American Hustler.”
Yates will also be serving as a producer on the upcoming project under his production company known as Wynchwood Media.
Reportedly, Brian d’Arcy James (West Side Story, 13 Reasons Why), Chloe Coleman (Marry Me, My Spy), and Jay Duplass (Jeff, Who Lives at Home, Transparent) are also reported to have joined the cast in an undisclosed roles.
