Two more actors– Amiah Miller and Bill Heck have joined the cast of Searchlight Pictures upcoming horror thriller movie “Dust.”
In September 1, 2022, Searchlight broke the news that Miller and Heck will be seen in the Karrie Crouse and Will Joines’s horror flick “Dust.”
Miller’s most recent movie “My Best Friend’s Exorcism” (set to be released on September 30, 2022), and Heck starring in Netflix’s supernatural series “Locke & Key” will be seen opposite previously declared lead role Sarah Paulson (”American Horror Story”) in the anticipated horror flick “Dust”, which is scheduled to be launched as a Hulu Original in the US. Also joining in the cast are Annaleigh Ashford (”Masters of Sex”) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (”The Punisher”). Production is presently underway in Santa Fe, New Mexico. However, the official release date has yet to be announced.
Details of Miller and Heck’s characters in the film are not disclosed.
According to the official synopsis, “Dust is set in 1930s Oklahoma and follows a woman who is trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms and is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family.”
Amiah Miller’s earlier works include “Lights Out,” “War for the Planet of the Apes,” “House by the Lake,” and “The Water Man” to name a few.
Bill Heck previously starred in Amazon’s crime drama film “I’m Your Woman” (2020) opposite co-star Rachel Brosnahan. Heck also appeared in the 2018 Western anthology movie “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” along with Tim Blake Nelson, Willie Watson, Clancy Brown, and Danny McCarthy. His most recent work includes FX’s thriller series “The Old Man” which was just released in 2022 alongside Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, Netflix’s “Locke & Key”, and “Ray Donovan: The Movie.”
Miller is repped by Entertainment 360 and CAA, and Heck is represented by The Gersh Agency, Katz Golden Lerner and Oscars Abrams Zimel & Associates.
The film will be helmed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse. Screenplay will also be done by Crouse. The producers are Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin also including Searchlight Production Heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas, alongside Director of Development Zahra Phillips. Actress Sarah Paulson also serves as executive producer.
“Sarah is an extraordinary artist and we are thrilled to be working with her again,” Presidents of Searchlight David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield informed in a combined statement.
Paulson also previously appeared in Steve McQueen’s Academy award-winning movie “12 Years a Slave,” and 2011 Sean Durkin’s film “Martha Marcy May Marlene.”
Principal photography began by August 5, 2022, which took place in New Mexico. The movie will hire roughly about 152 New Mexico crew associates and 153 regional background aptitude. Production locations include Stanley, Santa Fe, and Gallisteo.
As for the release date of “Dust”, fans need to wait for a while. Hopefully, it will be announced soon along with a trailer.
