The first season was phenomenal, but it looks like Alderamin On The Sky season 2 has not been confirmed yet. Adapted from the light novel series of the exact title, Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin in Japanese translation is created by Bokuto Uno. It is being illustrated by Sanbaso and Ryutetsu from Volumes 1 to 5 and Volumes 6 to 14 between the years 2012 and 2018 respectively. The reason behind Sanbaso being replaced as the illustrator was because of his health issues.
In 2021, the series started serialization, and after two years, it was adapted into a manga series by Taiki Kawakami which was published in Dengeki Daioh. An anime tv series adaptation was announced in 2015, with Tetsuo Ichimura serving as the director and the character designs by Kunio Katsuki. The anime series produced by Madhouse consisting of a total of 13 episodes were released in July 2016. Well, it’s been six years since the first season came out and till now there’s no sign of a second season. Did it get canceled? Or will Madhouse greenlight the anime series for a season 2 run? Here’s what we know about season 2 of Alderamin on the Sky.
Will There Be a Season 2 of Alderamin on the Sky?
As we know, there’s no concrete information concerning Alderamin on the Sky season 2. It could be because the debut season had very low sales. As per a source on Reddit, the anime managed to sell only 300 copies. Putting into words, it miserably failed to impress the audience, and since there has been no change or increase in numbers in the LN sales, a second season seems highly unlikely. And in case you don’t know, the animation studio strongly prefers its Japanese audience rather than an international audience. Hence, even if the anime series did do well across Japan, it’s not going to change much for the studio.
One more concern is the shortage of materials which ceased in 2018. The author has so far released 14 volumes of the LN series from 2012 to 2018. Although the source materials available can cover season 2, the season will end up on a major cliffhanger leaving fans more agitated. We can only hope that the anime series somehow returns with a season 2 and that the author completes the story of the LN series.
Alderamin on the Sky Season 2 Release Date
As previously mentioned, the anime series is not renewed nor did the creators provide any update. So, there are no official air days for season 2 of Alderamin on the Sky. The utterly disappointing sales and shortage of source materials could pretty much be the reasons why a second season won’t happen.
The thirteen-episode season debuted on July 9, 2016, and concluded on September 30, 2016. A second season will not be released.

Alderamin on the Sky Season 2 Plot (Spoilers Alert)
Season 2 will also adapt the light novel series. This means that in the second season, Ikta decides to assist Yatori and saves the king who went missing and the prime, but then it turns out that this was all planned from the very start. Trisanai, the real mastermind behind the King, wants to finish off Ikta and Yatori. However, Yatori succumbs to his injuries while protecting Ikta, and since the LN series ceased in 2018 the story is incomplete.
Season 1 of Alderamin on the Sky is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
